Welcome to Anna’s Swedish Treats!

Traditional Swedish Desserts
Handcrafted & Giftable

Looking for something beyond store-bought sweets?

All my treats are homemade from scratch — just like my grandmother used to make.
No preservatives, no artificial flavors. Just real butter, sugar, flour, and lots of love.

Choose from soft or crisp double-baked cardamom and cinnamon buns, airy sponge cakes, delicate shortbread cookies and old-fashioned candy like churro toffee, candied almonds, and caramel, beautifully wrapped in gingham ribbons with vintage charm.

Whether you’re treating yourself, surprising a friend, or searching for the perfect fika treat — this is the place.

About Me

My name is Anna and I’ve been baking for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Sweden surrounded by women who knew their way around a kitchen—my grandmother, my aunts and my mother all baked for family and friends, and I was there, eager to learn.

Years later, after moving to Southern California with my own family, I soon realized how much joy it brought me to share our traditional flavors with others: the soft, fragrant cardamom and cinnamon buns, the melt-in-your-mouth dream cookies, and delicious sponge cakes.

I started Anna’s Swedish Treats to bring a little piece of Sweden to my neighbors here in Oceanside. My recipes are made from simple ingredients—just like back home—and packaged with care and a touch of nostalgia.

The farmers market has become my happy place. I love chatting with customers, sharing a taste of fika culture and hearing people’s stories—whether they’re rediscovering childhood memories or trying a Swedish treat for the first time.

And when I’m not baking I work on The Best Recipe For, my recipe blog where I share all the dishes I’ve researched, tested and collected over the years. It’s filled with Swedish favorites, passed down family recipes and so much more—perfect for anyone looking for reliable, delicious recipes from around the world. ☕💛
